This Christmas will be our first without Ellie since 2009 and whilst the thought makes me very sad, I console myself with the thought that she is running in dog heaven with a number of other friends’ dogs who also departed this world this year. So we are determined to celebrate her glorious life and enjoy ourselves without having to nurse a very old dog.
But, I do wonder is Christmas dead as a DODO this year? Are we living in a fantastic Alice in Wonderland world? It may feel like it, but - and this is a big BUT - we shall not refrain from honouring the season this year, as we are launching a newly revamped Ellie White Shop in memory of our lovely Ellie.
This year the holiday season seems to be fraught yet again due to the flapping machinations of our government, but there seems to be a spirit of we are jolly well going to celebrate anyway, after the festive season was lost to Covid-19 last year.
Even the emergence of a new strain will not dampen people’s spirits this year and we are really excited to be offering our new range of gifts.
As I wrote in my previous post, I have a bit of a journal or notebook addiction, so I can scribble down ideas or shopping lists or Christmas card lists. The concept is that I keep all notes in one place, but due to this obsession I always have lots of journals on the go. I justify this by pointing out that each one is dedicated to a different book or website but the result is no less than orderly chaos.
So we have a small bijoux range of 5" by 7” journals:
